SA BANG CHOOK

The objectives of combination kicks are to perfect the techniques.  They should flow from the first kick smoothly to the next kick while maintaining body balance, power, speed, and correctness of movement.

 

Fighting Combinations: Attack and Attack

1 DAN (Level 1)

  1. Middle roundhouse kick + high roundhouse kick
  2. Middle roundhouse kick + high step roadhouse kick
  3. Middle step roundhouse kick + high roundhouse kick
  4. Roundhouse kick + ax kick

  5. Roundhouse kick + jumping step-ax kick

1 DAN (Level 2)

  1. Roundhouse kick + double roundhouse kick (kick with rear left leg)
  2. Roundhouse kick + back kick
  3. Roundhouse kick + butterfly kick
  4. Roundhouse kick + swing kick

  5. Step-roundhouse kick + step-roundhouse kick (same leg)

1 DAN (Level 3)

  1. Step-roundhouse kick + jumping step-ax kick (same leg)
  2. Step-roundhouse kick + back kick
  3. Step-roundhouse kick + swing kick
  4. Step-roundhouse kick + double roundhouse kick (kick with rear leg first)

  5. Step-roundhouse kick + butterfly kick

1 DAN (Level 4)

  1. Step-roundhouse kick + push kick
  2. Jumping step-ax kick + back kick
  3. Jumping step-ax kick + roundhouse kick
  4. Ax kick + back kick

    Fighting Combinations: Attack and Counter-attack

  5. Step-roundhouse kick + move front leg back to rear leg + front leg roundhouse kick

1 DAN (Level 5)

  1. Step-roundhouse kick + while slightly moving backwards (DON'T switch feet), double roundhouse kick
  2. Step-roundhouse kick + while slightly moving backwards, jump switch roundhouse kick
  3. Step-roundhouse push kick + front arm down block + rear arm puch at same time
  4. Step-roundhouse push kick + move front leg back to rear leg + front leg hook kick

  5. Step-roundhouse push kick + other leg push kick

2 DAN (Level 1)

  1. Roundhouse kick + while slightly moving backwards, jump switch reoundhouse kick
  2. Roundhouse kick + front leg hook kick

    Fighting Combinations: Counter-attack and attack
  3. Slightly move back front foot, then front foot roundhouse kick + roundhouse kick
  4. Slightly move back front foot , then front foot roundhouse kick + ax kick

  5. Slightly move back front foot, then front foot roundhouse kick + step-roundhouse kick (same foot)

2 DAN (Level 2)

  1. Slightly move back front foot, then front foot roundhouse kick + back kick
  2. Slightly move back front foot, then front foot roundhouse kick + front foot jump step-ax kick
  3. Slightly move back front foot, then front foot roundhouse kick + double roundhouse kick (kick with rear leg first)
  4. Slightly move back front foot, then front foot roundhouse kick + front hand down block + rear hand punch
  5. 180 degree jump back kick + 180 degree jump back kick (alternate legs)

2 DAN (Level 3)

  1. 180 degree jump back kick + front foot hook kick
  2. 180 degree jump back kick + roundhouse kick

    Fighting Combinations: Counter-attack and Counter-attack
  3. Front foot roundhouse kick + while moving backwards, jump switch roundhouse kick
  4. Front foot roundhouse kick + while miving backwards, 180 degrees jump back kick
  5. Front foot roundhouse kick + front foot hook kick (same leg)

2 DAN (Level 4)

  1. Front foot roundhouse kick + while moving backwards, double roundhouse kick (kick with rear leg first)
  2. Front foot roundhouse kick + step down and at same time, front hand down block, rear hand punch
  3. While moving backwards, jump switch roundhouse kick + front foot roundhouse kick (both kicks with same foot)
  4. While moving backwards, jump switch roundhouse kick + 180 degrees jumping back kick
  5. While moving backwards, jump switch roundhouse kick + front foot hook kick (same leg)

2 DAN (Level 5)

  1. While moving backwards, double roundhouse kick (kick with rear leg first) + jump switch roundhouse kick
  2. While moving backwards, double roundhouse kick (kick with rear leg first) + front foot hook kick
  3. While moving backwards, double roundhouse kick (kick with rear leg first) + 180 degrees jumping back kick
